Blest Are They Shrine
When you look to the right wall of the main vestibule you’ll see the “Blest Are They” shrine. This art depicts symbols of the “Holy Trinity” and includes inscribed names of those recognized for their generosity to our church. The over-all design and supervision of production came from the creative talents of Ed Spires. The commission for the sculpture was given to Robert ("Bob") Fischer of Metal Madness in Norwalk. The engraving was coordinated by former staff member Kathy Harris and executed by Stephen Silver and Stephen Tyszka of Silver of Westport. The sculpture was blessed by then Bishop Egan, April 13, 1997, and consecrated by Fr. Boccaccio on the Feast of the Most Holy Trinity, May 25, 1997. |
