By Credit/Debit Card or Direct Transfer
Saint Philip Parish offers, to regular contributors and those
wishing to become regular contributors, the opportunity for contributions by
electronic means. You may use either automatic credit or debit card charge or
automatic deduction from a checking or savings account. Many parishioners
have already taken advantage of this method both for the “Lift High the Cross”
campaign and for Offertory.
How does it work? You authorize
recurring payments to the Sunday Offertory either weekly or monthly [please
remember in your calculations that on average there are 4-1/3 weeks in a
month]. You can also authorize recurring monthly payments to the Monthly
Capital Fund Offertory.
Envelopes. You will continue to receive envelopes; please use them,
for a number of reasons. Sharing your worldly goods at the Offertory is an
important part of the Mass, and even dropping an empty envelope into the
basket makes liturgical sense. It also serves as an example to others, and
can help to avoid any feeling of unease at letting the basket go by. Simply
check the small “Electronic Contribution” box on the envelope. It is not
necessary to use the envelope to have your electronic contribution recorded
in the parish records; that is done from the Vanco reports to the
parish.
Next Step. If you wish to take advantage of this method of
contributing, please either
● Download the
authorization form and return it to the office or in the basket at Mass,
Authorizations are stored securely under lock and key in the office.
OR
● Sign up on line, using the secure
site provided by Vanco Services. A new, much more powerful web page
is now available. You are in control.
If you are hew to the online system: when you click to
the Vanco sign-up page, establish your profile - simply your email address
and a password of your choice - and proceed with your authorization. Please
enter your envelope number). You will be able to make changes simply by
going to the page and signing in.
If you are already making electronic contributions but have
not established a profile: Do not set up a profile until you are sure
that your email address is attached to your Vanco account Please call
Clyna Richardson in the parish office (203-847-4549) to verify that this has
been done, then set up your profile and you will have control of your
account.
Controlling your account. After signing in with your
profile, you can change contribution amount and/or frequency. You will
delete the existing schedule and enter the new one.
One Time Contributions -
Sunday Offertory, Capital Improvement or "Other"
Single contributions can also be made online to the
Sunday Offertory, the Capital Improvement Fund, or for any other purpose. Choose "One time" for the frequency.
A profile will not be necessary unless you want to track your
contribution history. If you choose "Other", please be sure to enter in
the space provided the purpose or collection for which the gift is
intended. Click
here to go to the online contribution page. As with recurring
contributions, credit card information provided in an online transaction
is not received in the parish office.
